Israel finds itself in the midst of an unimaginable war, with over 900 lives lost, and countless individuals enduring relentless rocket bombardments, terrorist attacks, and abductions. The gravity of the situation is beyond words. American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri has been a pillar of support in Israel's most challenging times, standing alongside its people during the Intifada, Gaza War, Corona pandemic, and the Meron tragedy. We've always been there to help those who need it most.
Families are fleeing the southern regions of the country with nothing but the clothes on their backs, their homes reduced to rubble. Parents are unable to work, and the trauma is immeasurable. The immense needs arising from this crisis are just beginning to surface, and thousands of displaced families, as well as numerous new Almanos and Yesomim, will require ongoing support.
However, our commitment extends far beyond the initial shock of this horrific war. We'll continue to provide assistance even as life stabilizes in the country. The almanos and yesomim we've helped create will still need our support, especially considering the economic challenges they face. We are determined to help these families rebuild their lives.
